What determines eligibility for admission to Britta Care Manor?

BCM is an assisted living facility providing assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing), eating, mobility and administration of medications. BCM is not licensed for bed-ridden and dementia residents.

What does a resident bring to Britta Care Manor?

Residents may bring bedroom furnishings commensurate with semi-private or private room chosen. In addition, seven days of clothing are recommended. Of course, personal momentos and “favorite things” should accompany a loved one.

What kind of food is served?

BCM provides three nutritious hot meals a day. In addition, snacks will be offered several times throughout the day. Should a resident request a favorite snack, even at 2:00 AM, it will be provided. BCM will also accommodate special dietary needs and weekly menus are always posted.

When can family and friends visit?

Family and friends may visit anytime from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM seven days a week. Other times for family and resident convenience are easily arranged.

Are transportation services provided?

We encourage family to drive their loved ones to medical and dental appointments. However, BCM will arrange for transportation upon request.

What is the staffing ration?

BCM provides one staff member for every three residents during the day and one staff member for six residents at night.

What is the cost of care?

Britta Care fees are based on whether a resident prefers a semi-private or private room. Additional fees may include incontinence care, transportation, beauty/barber services and professional services provided at BCM. The cost of care at Britta Care Manor is competitive with residential care facility rates in Orange county. Payment is made by check or money order. Contact us for more details.

What funding sources are available?

Most residential care is privately funded. Some long-term care policies will pay for a portion of the monthly fee.
